Surgical suture machine

It all started when a curious surgeon named Gabriel Börner encountered a problem and decided to do something about it. The solution was a new advanced medical tool, a surgical sewing machine.

Suturion has developed a sewing machine “Suture-TOOL”, which makes the abdominal wall sewn up faster and with high quality. The sewing machine produces a standardized seam and helps the surgeon seal the abdominal wall according to current clinical guidelines, which is necessary to reduce the risk of painful complications.

OIM’s part in the project has been assembling and testing the prototype according to OIM’s established ISO13485 standard. To carry out the tests, the construction of jigs and rigs has also been included in the project.
