Tendo has developed a product that will help people grip, hold, and release objects by affecting the hand with a robotic aid. The product is aimed at people who struggle with everyday activities due to e.g., a spinal cord injury.

OIM has helped Tendo take their existing prototype and guided them in the process of making it ready for production so that it can finally reach the market. An important part of the project has been to ensure that the product meets the requirements for medical devices and the correct IP classification for everyday use. OIM has performed mechanical work based on the existing prototype, as well as created new mechanical solutions to adapt the product for production. The product has then been tested and validated to finally be produced by OIM.
